There is also the married pair of Milind Soman, Dipannita Sharma in the film who are the target of Jodi Breakers. A major part of the film is shot in the scenic locations in Greece. Jodi Breakers movie review…

There are many films about how a girl and a guy fall in love, but here is one flick which is unusual where the lead couple specialize in separating the couple. So, here is a hindi movie which appears to be an original story line, with impressive performances by R. Madhavan and Bipasha Basu.

Jodi Breakers is a tale about Sid (R. Madhavan) and Sonali (Bipasha Basu). The duo, who play the divorce experts, which in hindi means ‘Jodi Breakers’. Sid is a divorcee himself, while Sonali is a romantic who still believes in love and believes that divorce is for those couples who still haven’t found the ‘right one’ yet.

Being a divorcee, Sid realizes that happy marriages are a myth. Why not do something unconventional and become a break-up specialist?

They set up a professional agency specializing in engineering break-ups of supposedly well settled married couples. The new assignment on hand is to break up the relationship between Mark Pereira (Milind Soman) and Maggie (Dipannita), not properly realizing that this particular couple are meant to be together.

Succeeding in separating Mark and Maggie, now the jodi breakers notice what a mistake they have made. Listening to their conscience, Sid and Sonali decide to undo their wrong doing. In the process, they discover fondness between them now.

The director has definitely worked on an unconventional storyline with an unusual pairing of Madhavan and Bipasha. Another character in this film is that of their friend Nainsukhlal Patel alias Nano (Omi Vaidya), who is a sort of sex-maniac. But here is Omi Vaidya who still carrier the accent and mannerisms of his debut role of ‘Chatur’ in 3 Idiots. It is this character of Nano which is just forced into the story without which too, it could not have made much of a difference.

Milind Soman and Dipannita are perfectly cast in their characters and a surprise package of this film is the actress Helen who plays the role of Mark’s sweet granny. The story of Jodi Breakers then moves on to Goa and the visuals of this seaside town are beautifully captured.

Music director duo Salim-Suleiman who has rendered the music of this flick have come up with an ace in the song Kunwara. Ideally it would be sung by a just out of college guys, although it is well portrayed with that of Madhavan’s personality.

Jodi Breakers is an unusual story with fine chemistry between unusual couple that of Madhavan and Bipasha Basu.
